As earlier publicised, the second national workshop of NPrA is around the corner:

Those who will both participate in the training workshop and present papers either on the theme of the workshop or any pragmatically relevant topic.
Early bird registration has started. Kindly click the button below to register for the workshop.
It is easy and cheaper than on-site registration.
KINDLY NOTE THE FOLLOWING KEY INFORMATION:
a. Participation is open to both members and non-members, so, kindly
encourage your colleagues and students to also attend.
b. There will be a pre-workshop symposium on theories of pragmatics; and
given that many theories will be discussed, the symposium sessions may
have to be spread across the whole period of the workshop-cum conference
to ensure maximal benefits of members.
c. There will be workshop and brainstorming sessions, as we had them in
the first national workshop at the Lagos State University in 2017; but beyond these, special sessions are arranged for undergraduate students (and interested graduate students) to familiarise them with the discipline of pragmatics. You are therefore kindly enjoined to encourage your students to attend. Group transportation is advised where many
people will be attending from the same place.
d. Participation is not tied to submission of abstracts, i.e. submitting
an abstract is not a condition for participation. The workshop, covering
the keynote, plenary presentations and brainstorming/training sessions,
is a very crucial part of the event.
e. Abstract submission is not limited to the theme of the workshop cum
i. Individuals working in the area of knowledge construction are
encouraged to submit their abstracts on the theme.
ii. NOTE THAT ABSTRACTS CAN BE WRITTEN ON ANY AREA OR TOPIC RELATED
TO PRAGMATICS CONCEIVED BROADLY AS THE USE OF
LANGUAGE IN CONTEXT. ALL DOMAINS OF LANGUAGE USE SUCH AS THE MEDIA,
MEDICINE, RELIGION, LAW, LAW ENFORCEMENT, THE
MILITARY, SOCIAL MEDIA, ACADEMIA, ETC. ARE RELEVANT SOURCES OF
IDEAS FOR ABSTRACTS FOR THE BOWEN WORKSHOP-CUM CONFERENCE.
