Our Story

Founded on a Vision

The Pragmatics Association of Nigeria (NPrA) is driven by a set of objectives and core values that centre on the promotion of pragmatics as an academic discipline in Nigeria and across Africa. Established in 2017, we are the first and largest pragmatics group on the African continent.


We are affiliated with the International Pragmatics Association (IPrA) and maintain strong links with pragmatics societies worldwide, ensuring our members have access to global networks and opportunities for international collaboration.
